Background
The successor to the Technics SL-1200 MK2 brings with it a number of improvements. The biggest change is in the pitch control. Namely, the Technics SL-1200 MK3D has no "dip" at zero and instead has a "pitch reset" button where you can quickly jump back to +0 in any position. By the way, the MK2 and MK3 versions are pretty much the same; the MK3 version has gold RCA plugs, was intended for the Japanese market and is available in black.
Difference between Japanese and European model?
Most of the turntables we have on this site come from Japan. Some models, such as the MK3 and MK3D, were released specifically for the Japanese market. Due to global trade, these have naturally ended up in other countries as well. The only difference between the Japanese and European models is the voltage, as 100V is used in Japan. We supply a transformer as standard with which you can use the turntable on the European network without problems.
